Live Football 25th June - According to an exclusive report by The Mirror, Arsenal have made a £9.3 million offer to Brentford captain Christian Norgo. The 30-year-old Danish midfielder is regarded as a cost-effective signing target for the Gunners this summer and is expected to solve the team's midfield personnel shortage problem.

With Jorginho's free transfer to Flamengo, the possibility of Partey leaving the team has also been continuously rising. Arsenal are set to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Zubimendi for £55 million in installments, but the club still hopes to increase the depth of its midfield. The 31-year-old Norgo is regarded as an ideal candidate for the dressing room leader - his leadership is similar to that of Jorginho and he has already proven his ability and experience on the Premier League stage.

As a key figure in Brentford's consecutive five years of successful relegation avoidance, Norgo played 34 Premier League matches under the current Tottenham manager Thomas Frank last season. The former Fiorentina midfielder has also been a regular in the Danish national team in recent years. Although Norgo just renewed his contract with the team in March this year, it is reported that the player is eager to join the Gunners to compete in the Champions League. Currently, negotiations between the two sides are still ongoing.
The player is currently in Denmark to accompany his wife who is about to give birth.
